So here we are, the last day of Round 1 and facing into the awful prospect of a day without World Cup football. The smarter ones among you will have recorded all 48 games and will be able to watch about 28 of your favourites before television coverage resumes.

With only four games to be played today it is just possible that Richard Rye could be caught at the finish. However there are only two people who can, mathematically, do that - Thijs and Jude DeBont.

For this to happen Thijs or Jude will have to get four perfect scores - probably a long shot.

For Round 2 you will receive a spreadsheet shortly after the last game tonight and you will have to return it to me by 15:00 on Saturday. More on that in an email later.
